Tryons Palace: No one had ever seen such a house,so much money,some much taxes. This great Palace of North Carolina called the Tryons Palace was the main atractrion in North Carolina at the time. This palace was built in the 1770's and was name the capital of North Carolina. And the person under all these "magnificent" plans to some, Governor Tryon of the british. The house house had three floors,the business on the first floor,Tryon and his family on the second floor,oh and the basement was where the servants worked. This palace also consisted of two other buildings a kitchen and a stable.
The Battle of Alamance: Governor was not all a domb and new the regulators would strike again and soon. So he gathered the militia from across the coastol plains and marched on Hillsbourogh against the insurgents. A few small battles that the regulators won was soon ended by the great big battle of Almanace. This took place on May 16,1771,Tyon ordered him off but they didnt retreat. And ordered his men to fire so they did alot of regulators died because they had small artillary nothing compared to the militia. So the few lleft did retreat and that was it for the regulators. And a accident accured and burnt down Tyons Place.
